Justice for Telangana’s Government Employees: Release DAs, Implement PRC, Restore OPS & Revoke GO 317

Since July 2022, Telangana’s teachers, clerical staff, and allied government employees have faced undue financial hardship due to five pending DA installments totalling losses of up to ₹20,000 per month for some individuals . Though the Second PRC submitted its report over ten months ago, its recommendations—effective July 1, 2023—remain unimplemented, further straining household budgets amid rising inflation . Concurrently, the switch from the Old Pension Scheme to the Contributory Pension Scheme has eroded retirement security for thousands of long‐serving staff . Adding to the distress, GO 317’s zonal transfer policy has led to arbitrary postings, splitting families and ignoring both local status and seniority . Pending GPF withdrawals, leave encashments and medical reimbursements remain uncleared, widening the trust deficit between employees and the state .
